Celebrating a milestone in our lives is important. Baby Namings, Commitments Ceremonies, Renewal of Vows, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Graduations, and the list goes on. I’m sure we can all think of a time when a milestone in our life was uplifted by our families with a party where friends and relatives gathered to honour important times in our lives.
Each ceremony is created with you to be unique, meaningful and relevant.
“Life isn’t a matter of Milestones, but of Moments” Rose Kennedy
I offer the following ceremonies:
A naming ceremony is a wonderful way to welcome your child and celebrate them as they begin their journey through life and involves the important people in the child’s life – family and special friends.
Poems, readings and quotes of personal significance can be used throughout the ceremony. Often a symbolic gesture is also made such as the lighting of a candle, planting of a tree etc.
Certificates are presented to parents, grandparents/godparents as a record of the occasion.
“Thank you so much for being a wonderful celebrant for Mia’s naming ceremony. Thanks for all your efforts and hard work. The ceremony was truly beautiful and just perfect!” Mia, Darryn and Rachel
Renewal of Vows Ceremonies
A wonderful way for couples to reaffirm their vows, love and commitment to one another they took on their wedding day 5 10 or 15 years ago.
A commitment ceremony is similar in form and content as a marriage ceremony without the legal content and will vary on each couples unique requirements.
Civil Partnership and Same Sex Ceremonies
Although not legally recognised in Australia, the ceremony can be formatted like a wedding ceremony, but will be recognised as a commitment ceremony.
Your love story is the heart of your ceremony and will connect you on a heart and soul level.
A unity ceremony is a wonderful way for couples to share that moment with family friends and guests making their ceremony a truly unique and memorable experience. The element of ritual in a ceremony is a profoundly meaningful way to demonstrate love, strengthen commitment and bring together both family and cultures.
Four Directions Ceremony
In many cultures it is believed that the human soul shares characteristics with all things divine. It is this belief which assigned virtues to the four cardinal directions; East, South, West and North.
It is according to this belief that we align ourselves with these elements. Each of these blessings from the four cardinal directions emphasizes those things which will help you build a happy and successful marriage.
Guests are invited to stand in a circle and face the four directions.
Celebration of Life / Memorial Services
There are many transitions in our lives but none will affect us more than a loss of a loved one. A funeral is the occasion to celebrate the life of your loved one. A funeral allows permission and encouragement to grieve openly and deeply.
For all ceremonies a non-refundable booking fee of $200.00 is required to secure your date, with the balance payable one week prior to the ceremony. Payment can be made by direct deposit, or cash.
